Besides its annually updated Programming and Robotics program available for all classes, Greenfield College is the only school that offers a comprehensive STEAM curriculum for grades one to four. This curriculum combines Science, Math, Engineering, Art, and Technology to prepare students to excel both academically and technologically. UNESCO nominated it for the International Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development. The program emphasizes conceptual understanding and employs a student-led inquiry approach. The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and 21st-century skills are integrated through application and research. Students apply their learning in STEAM centers, through fieldwork, laboratories, parks, supermarkets, factories, and other sites relevant to their studies. They then create interdisciplinary STEAM projects that showcase their knowledge and mastery of IT and robotics skills.
