Tuesday, February 22, 2022, was a fun day filled with activities to the power of 2! While this date will not come again, it resonated with the spirit of events like the Food Blessed Food Drive and the upcoming Independence Day. We also celebrated milestones such as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, along with the excitement of Olympic and Paralympic Week, and the joy of World Radio Day. The memories created on this unique day will last a lifetime!
Greenfield College celebrated World Arabic Language Day to appreciate Arabic and its contributions to the world. In addition to this celebration, we also engage in initiatives like the Food Blessed Food Drive and recognize events such as Independence Day and the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Our students learn three languages, but your native language always holds a special place in your heart, much like the pride we feel during Olympic and Paralympic Week and the joy we share on World Radio Day.
During the Greenfield College Zoom meeting with athletes and the EB8 program, students had the opportunity to interview para athletes, significantly raising awareness about the need to change perspectives on disability. This initiative aligns with our commitment to inclusivity, much like the Food Blessed Food Drive, which emphasizes community support. As we celebrate important events like Independence Day and the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, it's vital to recognize the contributions of all individuals, including those participating in the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Week. Additionally, the meeting coincided with World Radio Day, highlighting the importance of communication in spreading awareness.
Greenfield College celebrated the World Philosophy Day with an engaging lineup of events, including workshops, games, and debates. These activities emphasized that the exchange of philosophy, research, and areas of knowledge is crucial for the development of human thought, similar to the collaboration seen during the Food Blessed Food Drive and the spirit of unity during Independence Day. Just as we honor achievements on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, events like the Olympic and Paralympic Week and World Radio Day remind us of the importance of shared ideas in fostering progress.
GFC Seniors debated teachers on " The End Justifies the Mean".
We sang. We played. We learned. We painted our flag with our colorful hands. We organized an exhibition of traditional Lebanese food as part of our Food Blessed Food Drive. We celebrated Lebanese Independence Day on November 18, 2021, alongside the spirit of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
