👨🏫 Teacher's Day 👩🏫
On the occasion of Teachers' Day 2021, we wish to thank all of our dedicated and talented teachers for their unwavering devotion and attention to our Greenfield College students. In these unprecedented times, it takes more than a village to raise a child and we are honored to be a part of the equation in both our students' academic success and emotional growth. Thank you all for your part in making Greenfield College the community of lifelong learners that it is.
En partenariat avec Alliance France, le CERATP, l'Institut Français (en France) avec le soutien de l'IF au Liban et l'Orient le Jour ont organisé une rencontre littéraire "Je viens de loin , j'écris en Français" , avec l'académicien Amin Maalouf, auteur d'origine libanaise.
Cette rencontre fût diffusée en ligne gratuitement, le Mardi 2 février 2021 à 19h30 (Liban). L'heure arrivée, l'animatrice fût choquée par le nombre des participants du monde francophone, qui a atteint 2200 personnes pour la première fois, dans cette émission. Puis les échanges ont commencé entre Amine Maalouf et Bernard Magnier, spécialiste des littératures francophones.
Mme Maya Mazher, Mlle Ghia Dergham et Mlle Carole Kansoh el Ghouri, du Département de Français ont assisté à la rencontre. Sous la guidance de Mlle Carole Kansoh el Ghouri, tous les apprenants de la classe de Seconde ont participé à la rencontre et ont posé des questions au grand auteur Amine Maalouf. La rencontre fût autour de son nouveau roman " Nos frères inattendus " paru cette année dans l'édition Grasset.
Cet événement littéraire et culturel par excellence a mis l'accent sur la crise que vit le monde en entier et a promu l'identité libanaise grâce à cet écrivain visionnaire, décoré de plusieurs prix.
Échanger pour changer
A l’occasion de la journéeinternationaledu professeur defrançais, la direction deGreenfield College a prisl’initiative d’organiser un atelier de formationen ligne(Webinare)pouréchangerdesexpérienceséducativesavec lesétablissementslabelisés. Ceci a inspiré le nom du Team où s’est dérouléela réunion«échanger pourchanger».Ont participé à cet atelier Mme Camila Kaakour(Conseillère pédagogique etcoordinatrice des projets CELF à l’Institut Français), Mme Blandine Yazbeck(Conseillèrepédagogique à l’Institut Français)et MmeLamy Sylvie(Attachéede coopération pour lefrançais à l’Institut Français), ainsi quedes professeurs des établissements labelisés.Les participants comptaient 35 personnes des établissements labelisés, de l’InstitutFrançais et deGreenfield College.
Mme Nibal a introduit le site Padlet et son utilité dans le domaine éducatif sur le planpratique.
Mme Adla Zeineh a fait une intervention et a présenté des padlets travaillés avec desétudiants en EB4 au niveau du STEAM et un autrepadleten collaboration avec lesclasses EB3, EB4 et EB5 comme activité ludique pour la fête de l’Indépendance.
Mlle Carole Kansoh el Ghouri adémonstéles différentsusagesde padlet en matière delangueau niveau du cycle secondaire, concernant la production écrite et l’expressionorale.
Puis est intervenue MmeMarieBuscail(DirectricedeL'InstitutFrançaisduLiban,conseillère de coopérationet d’action culturelle)pour exprimer son admiration du travailet elle a remercié Greenfield College pour son initiative surtout pour cette occasion. Ellea souhaité de même la continuité de cet échange numérique pour la richesse desexpériences et du profit.
Global CAS Conference
The Global CAS Conference is just around the corner and we are excited to share the latest news. Students from eight schools around the globe will join in this unique event. They have already chosen their topics and will now decide on group projects to complete over the next month. Students from Colombia, India, Lebanon, and Pakistan will foster international mindedness and cooperation by virtually collaborating on their CAS projects. This will culminate in a reflective day of project demonstration hosted by Greenfield College. We will keep you updated on their progress!
IB Students
Our IB students may have been on vacation, but that hasn't stopped them from supporting the educational needs of our youngest students. They planned a series of elementary lessons ranging from making vegan paint to zero food waste strategies. Additionally, they are holding weekly conversational English meetings with grade two students in order to build oral fluency. We can't wait to see what they come up with next!

Greenfield College never misses an occasion and especially our Independence Day.
On the 20th of November, the Lebanese flag decorated our Microsoft TEAMS, our students started their online sessions by singing our anthem, and all classes celebrated our Independence by enrolling in different online activities to honor the memory of the 22nd of November.
Greenfield College receives its LFE certification from the ambassador of France to Lebanon Madame Anne Grillo
We are pleased to inform you that Greenfield College has received the certification "Réseau International Francophone d’ excellence" and is now an academic member of the LabelFrancÉducation network of schools promoting French Language and culture in their curriculum.
The seal was presented in a ceremony in the Greenfield College theater by the Ambassador of France to Lebanon, Madame Anne Grillo, who honored the administration and gathered faculty with a speech stressing the school’s merit, high academic standards, and qualifications in attaining this certification.
As we at Greenfield College add this considerable achievement to our credentials, which opens academic doors in Francophone countries to our student body, we promise to continue to strive to remain at the forefront of leading educational institutions in Lebanon.

International Baccalaureate Success
We are pleased to announce that once again 100% of our International Baccalaureate students have successfully earned their IB diplomas this year. This most challenging year marks our sixth year of successful IB cohorts. Incredibly, students earned 5 bilingual diplomas and achieved an impressive 78.23% passing average. As always, this could not be accomplished without the dedication of our IB team and school administration. Congratulations to the graduates of 2021 and we wish them all our best on their future endeavors.
CAS Global Collaborative Conference 2021
The CAS Global Collaborative Conference wound up on February 27, 2021. More than 100 international students logged in along with their teachers and CAS Coordinators to demonstrate completion of their group projects. We will be sharing the Facebook link with detailed descriptions of the 13 exciting and sustainable actions taken by this group of students from six schools.
Latest collaboration with the French Institute
We are proud to share with you the details of our latest collaboration with the French Institute. EB5 students sang and recorded a video for the Choeur FrancEducation along with 11 other French schools in Lebanon. The event was hosted by Greenfield College on our Microsoft Teams platform and all schools shared their videos aimed at raising awareness of certain issues as well as promoting the values of the Francophonie. We look forward to future endeavors with both the French Institute and other schools dedicated to excellence in French education. Thank you to the following schools for joining us in the Choeur FrancEducation: St. Vincent, Khadija El Kobra, Besançon Baabda, CPLL Kfaryachit , Besançon Baabdat, Lycée Adonis, ETD, St Pierre Baskinta, Sainte Famille Zalka, FDLC Clémenceau, and RHHS.
Virtual Wins
Even through remote learning, Greenfield College students showed that they have the winning drive and that they always strive for excellence. Noor Hamadi won a Secretary General Award and Hiba Zwaine won a Best Improvement Award at this year’s Global Classrooms Model United Nations Simulation Program at LAU Beirut. Ali Charaffeddine, grade five, won an Environment Day Awareness first prize for his video entitled “Mother Earth is Suffering “from the Chair of “Foundation Diane” – CEED through Saint Joseph University of Beirut. His video highlights the dangers of pollution in Lebanon and he utilized his practical investigative skills to survey and explore this topic in depth. Congratulations to our hardworking students!
